Adam

Adam's Day, Adam's Way

by GylzGirl

You awake in the morning to warm kisses and nuzzling on your neck. You crack an eye open and just as quickly snap it shut again, hoping to keep out the burgeoning daylight streaming through the window. You lightly swat at the snogging invader. "Adam, leave me alone. I'm sleepy."

There is warm breath at your ear, followed by a whisper. "None of that now. Don't you fall back to sleep. My day, my way remember? I intend to use every minute of that to the fullest." His lips have begun to tease your earlobe.

"Fine." You open your eyes and find yourself looking directly into his. "Just do me a favor, if I ever agree to something like this again, make me disappear? Permanently?"

Adam rolls his eyes, "You are without a doubt the most difficult woman to try to sweep off her feet."

"Nah, I'm just grumpy in the morning, especially on about five hours sleep." You cup his chin in your hand and smile. "And you wanted as much time with me as you can get."

Adam smiles back, teasing. "Then I, my dear, am an idiot!"

"Accepted. I happen to love you anyway."

"Well I'm happy to hear it. Nice to know the day won't be a total loss."

"Mm-hmm, shut-up and kiss me." You lean to his lips and he pulls away.

"Why you shameless hussy!" He flutters his eyelashes, southern-belle like. "I am not that type of boy!"

You lean up on your elbow. "Me a hussy? Pot, kettle, black, film at 11." He giggles lightly. You push him onto his back and kiss him.

You step outside and feel a blast of cold air hit your skin. "Ooh burr." Adam's arms are instantly about you.

"I know. I planned it this way so you would have to huddle against me for warmth all day."

You smile. "Well, how clever of you. It sure is pretty here. All the snow. Everything looks so white and clean."

He kisses the top of your head as you walk. "Yup snow, everything, planned it down to the last detail. In fact, last night was just a distraction so you wouldn't hear them setting all this up and rush down to investigate it."

You laugh against his chest. "Oh wow, you are *such* a drama queen!"

"Now see here, are you impugning my masculinity?"

"Oh of course not." You slip your arm out from around his waist and walk ahead a bit. "Jury's still out on that one."

"What?!"

You take off down the block at a full run, heading for the park and holding your side in pain from laughing. You hear Adam easily gaining behind you. You know you are in *so* much trouble when he catches you. You tuck yourself behind a tree and scoop a small snowball into your hand. As Adam passes by, you lob it at the small area of exposed skin on the back of his neck. He freezes and gasps at the coldness of it. You get ready to run again but slip in the snow and soon Adam is on top of you on the ground and tickling. You are squirming and laughing.

Then you hear someone clear their throat loudly and Adam ceases his assault. "Your coach, sir?"

"Oh yes." Adam turns to face you and extends his hand. "Mi'lady." You sit up to see the speaker to have been the driver of the horse and carriage which has pulled up on the path.

"Oh wow Adam!" He brushes a spray of snow from your hair and helps you to your feet. Adam walks you to the coach, gives you a hand up and then drops into the seat beside you. His arm comes around your shoulders and he pulls you to him. You rest your head contentedly against his chest. You spend the rest of the morning clipping along the cobblestones, taking in the beauty of the fading emerald greens being blanketed by the pure white snow, Adam nuzzling your hair from time to time.

Afternoon finds you pulling up back in front of Adam's rental. He has ordered lunch in and, after eating, tells you to take a nice warm bath, dress elegantly for the evening and he'll be back around five. He leaves wearing a mysterious smile.

The warm bath water thaws you out and relaxes you nicely. You get out, comb and dry your hair and then wrap up in Adam's soft plush burgundy bathrobe. You look at the clock. 1:56. You have time for a quick nap you decide. You pull a pillow out from under the comforter and, laying atop the covers, you drift to sleep.

Adam comes home at around 5:15 to find the house dark. He enters the bedroom, concerned, only to find a sight that makes his heart speed up. The outline of your body on the bed is accentuated by the moonlight from the window. Your hair is fanned around your head on the pillow. Your bare leg sticks invitingly out of the robe's confines. You are also showing a fair amount of cleavage from where the robe has loosened in your sleep.

Adam untucks the shirt ends from his pants, discards the article, climbs onto the bed and spoons up behind you. He places soft kisses on your ear and throat, his warm hand sneaking into the robe, lightly stroking your breast.

You stir, opening your eyes. "Adam?"

"Yes love." He kisses where your neck meets your shoulder.

You suddenly realize how dark it is. "Oh hell, what time is it?"

"Coming up on 5:30."

"Oh great!" You roll over and look into his eyes. "I'm sorry Adam. It won't take me long to get ready, promise!"

"Shh, never mind. I'll just call ahead and move the time back a bit." He kisses your collarbone. "Or maybe a bit more." He looks up at you, kissing your jaw line. "God you're beautiful." He kisses your shoulder. "Or I could cancel altogether and stay here and ravish you?"

"Your day your way remember?" You say softly.

"Hmmm." He considers this awhile as he continues his kissing and touching. "No. Hell. I'll be a good boy."

"That'll be a first."

"Quiet you," he smiles against your skin. "We'll stick to the plan." He squeezes your thigh. "Go get dressed Love. I'll call ahead and warn them we'll be late." You gather the robe around you and hop off the bed, walking towards the bathroom. "Love?"

You turn. "Yes?"

"Can I still ravish you later?"

You smile. "That depends. I said you had one day. That's 24 hours from...well whatever unholy hour you woke me at this morning...8 was it?" He nods, grinning. "Well then, I'm all yours till 8 am. Your call." You exit to the bathroom.

You emerge in a record 15 minutes flat. You're wearing your hair down, except for the sides, which are pulled back in sapphire combs. Your dress is long and made of royal blue velvet.

A wolf whistle hails your entrance. You blush up at Adam who is dressed in a well tailored navy silk suit. "Stunning," is all he says. He crooks his arm your direction. You slide your arm through and leave together.

You ride silently together in the back of Adam's limo. You are just watching out the window, trying to figure out your destination. You soon tire of the guessing game. "So, where are we going?"

"Uh-uh, patience Sweetheart," he says kissing your hand as he entwines his fingers with your own. "We'll be there shortly and all too soon our night will be finished and lost to the past and the haze of memory."

"Adam, I love you to bits but if you are going to wax poetic I'm jumping out of the car at the next stop sign."

"Oh all right. How about some silent cuddling?"

"Much better!" He releases your hand to put his arms around you.

Soon after, the limo pulls to a stop. He grins at you. "We're here."

"Great. And here would be?"

Another grin. "You'll see!" He gets out and reaches a hand back to help you out. You have pulled up in front of a large gray and white Victorian house. There are lace curtains in all the windows. "It's lovely Adam. Are we visiting someone?"

He shakes his head. As you walk up the short flight of stairs, the door is opened by a tall man in a tuxedo. "Dinner is ready Sir," the man says to Adam.

You enter slightly ahead of Adam. The living room is sparsely decorated, a comfortable sofa, some chairs and tables. You pass through an archway into the dining room. A wonderful dinner has been laid out on the table there, the crystal chandelier above has been dimmed to a slight glow and white candles on the table are contributing to the light and mood of the scene Adam has set for you. You eat and talk together. After about a hour, Adam excuses himself from the table.

Soon, you hear the front door shut. "Adam?" You get up and move to the living room. You nearly bump into each other on the way.

"It's all right Love. Just the help heading off for the night. He'll be back tomorrow to take care of the clean-up. Are you all finished with dinner?" You nod. He smiles. "Good. Then let's go upstairs." He takes your hand and leads you up the staircase.

"So what is this place Adam? A bed and breakfast you bought out for the night?" He doesn't answer. "Adam?" He half-turns and smiles, still leading you up. You make it to the second floor. He opens a door and ushers you ahead of him. You enter and gasp. It is a large room. A big oak four-poster bed dominates the far end of the room, its thick curtains tied back with black silk cords. On the dressers, in silver frames, are pictures of you and Adam. The closet sits open and you can clearly see it is filled with your own clothes. You turn to the smiling illusionist.

"Go look on the bed."

You move to the bed and see a small scroll laying on the pillow. You unroll it and find that it is a deed, in your name. You look to Adam again. He tosses something to you which you catch and discover are keys. He sits on the corner of the bed. "It's all yours Love, lock, stock and barrel. I figure it's close enough to home to use as a weekend getaway. 'Sides, the shows here are doing well enough that I'm getting booked back a lot. Nice to have a real home to come back to after the theater. Well, that is, if you won't mind me crashing here." He grins up at you. "You could always take my lodging out in trade."

You sit down beside him and kiss him. He eases you back on the bed and strokes your cheek gently with his palm. "Ravish time, yes?"

You smile and pull him to you, his lips tasting yours once more...
