Adam

Hard Day

by GylzGirl

Adam Klaus lets himself into your place with his key. He is dressed in a tux with a burgundy cummerbund and tie. "Love are you ready to..." He stops speaking as he rounds the corner into your living room and sees you. You are sitting in a chair, asleep, with your head tilted back and your mouth open. Your shoes and socks lay discarded to the side of your feet. You have one leg propped up on your coffee table and the other planted on the floor. Your hands lay loosely holding the fabric of your blouse, as though you must have passed out right in the middle of undoing the buttons.

He smiles and bends to you, kissing your forehead and running his hand back through your hair. "Love?" You don't so much as stir. He looks down and notices that your feet and ankles are swollen from the full day of work you've just finished. Adam runs the back of his hand slowly down your cheek and then backs away. He removes his jacket and tie, setting them on your sofa, and then approaches you again. He bends to you once more and scoops you into his arms, carrying you towards the bedroom.

At the sudden feeling of movement, your brow furrows in your sleep and you make a small noise of protestation. "Shh Love, don't wake up. I've got you." Even in your sleep, you recognize that voice. A smile spreads across your features and your hand moves from the front of your shirt to the front of his.

He sits you down on the side of the bed and kneels before you, keeping you leaned against him. He finishes the buttons you started and slips your blouse off of you. Your bra follows soon after. He turns down the bed behind you and gently leans you back against the pillows. With practiced skill, he removes your pants and underwear.

Adam steps back for a moment, just looking at you, at the way the moonlight plays off your skin. He takes off the rest of his clothes and walks to the other side of the bed. He climbs in and scoots over until his body lays flush against your own.

As he is carefully lifting you onto his chest and into his arms, you slowly wake up. When your eyes open, your nose is barely an inch away from Adam's and he is smiling brightly. "Hey there."

"Adam?"

He arches an eyebrow. "You were expecting someone else? Naked with you in your bed? We really are going to have to have a little talk."

"What time is it?"

"8pm. Monday night."

Your eyes widen noticeably as you sit bolt upright in the bed. "Oh God Adam the concert! I'm so sorry! I-I can be dressed and ready in ten minutes!"

Adam sits and gently grabs your shoulders, easing you back down into his arms once more. "It's okay. I'm not mad."

"But you really wanted to go."

"And we will, some other time when you aren't utterly exhausted. It's my fault. You tried to tell me that you would have more fun when you weren't tired from work and I didn't listen."

"I'm still sorry."

He smiles and kisses your nose. "Shh, just close your eyes and get back to sleep. You'll make it up to me in the morning."

"I will?"

"That's my plan. I'm going to let you get good and rested and then..."

You smile up at him. "And then?"

"Well you're here, I'm here..."

"That's true."

"You're naked, I'm naked..."

You peek under the covers. "Very." He tickles you briefly causing you to giggle and squirm against his body in the most pleasant ways.

"So, after all this rest, you should be full of energy in the morning."

"Oh yes, just bursting."

"Exactly. Just looking for a way to burn it off."

"Why you diabolical strategy master."

"That's me," he says with a smug smile. You tickle him in retribution. He squirms against you, equally pleasantly. "Now, you don't want to ruin my careful planning do you?"

"Wouldn't dream of it."

"Good, then go to sleep." He kisses you long and slow on the lips. When he pulls away again, he is smiling. He squeezes you tighter and brings his hand into your hair as you settle against his chest. As you close your eyes, he whispers, "Dream a little dream of me."
