Adam

A Simple Picnic

by GylzGirl

It is a bright cheery morning in England. Adam Klaus has kidnapped/rescued you from helping his crew set up for his televised magic special that night. He is driving you down the deserted road in his brand new shiny blue car. You are headed for what he has assured you is a 'simple picnic', but you learned long ago that with Adam nothing is ever simple.

You're not complaining. It's all so green and peaceful. You're wearing your hair down with a flowing gauzy dress that makes you feel beautiful and he looks so good in tight faded blue jeans and a plain white tee-shirt. Soon Adam pulls the car to the side of the road. You look at him questioningly. He doesn't say a word and gets out of the car. You watch him cross in front then come round to your door, open it and hold his hand out to you. You take his hand and exit the car. "What? Did we run out of gas?"

"Oh no. It's just that the car can't go where I'm taking you."

"Oh," you ask as he shuts your door and leads you by the hand off into the trees. "What are you up to now?"

Adam's only answer is a sweet smile that he casts back at you. You begin to worry. "So we're walking?" He shakes his head. "Not driving, not walking, well, what then?"

"Him," Adam stops and you peek around his broad shoulders to see what 'him' he is referring to. You see a gorgeous tall white stallion tethered to a tree trunk.

"Oh I don't know about this Adam," you say as he pulls you toward the creature. "I've only ridden a couple times and I'm not very good. Plus, I'm in a dress."

Adam releases your hand and unties the horse. He places his boot in the stirrup and gripping the saddlehorn, mounts up. "Come on Love, " he holds his hand down to you and crooks his leg for you to use as a step, "trust me, you'll be fine.

With a sigh you grasp his hand and place your foot on his calf. You push up, he pulls and before you know it you're sitting sidesaddle on the back of the steed with a deathgrip around Adam's lean middle. He is too tall to see over his shoulders so you content yourself with placing the side of your head to his back. His steady breathing calming you a bit.

Adam makes a couple clicking noises and prods the animal with his feet and it begins to walk. "You holding on tight?" You nod yes against his back. He prods the horse again and it breaks into a run. At first you're not loving this, holding Adam so tight it's a wonder he can breathe. Soon however you feel the breeze in your hair and begin to enjoy yourself.

In what seems like no time, Adam is slowing the horse down to a stop. He turns his head over his shoulder, "Close your eyes." You sigh loudly for dramatic effect and do as instructed. He peels your hands from his middle and dismounts. You feel his hands wrap around your waist and gently lift you down. You grasp his shoulders for balance. "Don't open them yet." You hear him step away from you and tether the horse. Soon he stands behind you, wraps his arms around your waist and whispers in your ear. "Okay, open those lovely eyes."

You do and your mouth drops open. "Oh Adam!" Before you stands a partially ruined Norman Castle, ivy trailing up its side.

You look up at him, his hazel eyes shining. "Do you like it?" You turn and kiss him, slow and tender. He breaks the kiss, getting an ear to ear grin. "Come on." He takes you by the hand and runs inside the castle, up its winding stairs and you emerge on the balcony. You walk hand in hand to the parapet and look out over the verdant hills. He kisses you, then turns and shows you a blue and white check blanket laid out complete with wicker basket. "I promised you a picnic." He leads you to the blanket and you both kneel.

As his hands go to the basket, you clasp his shoulders and gently give him enough of a shove to lose his balance. He lands on his butt, then his back and smiles up as you lay on his chest. You bring yourself nose to nose with him and whisper, "The food can wait." And you kiss him once more.
