Giles

Silly

by GylzGirl

You walk into the library at Sunnydale High. "Rupert?" There is no answer. You check his office, which is likewise empty. Next you move into the stacks. "Rupert? At that moment, you are lifted off your feet by a pair of strong arms around your middle. "Put me down!" You are giggling so hard your sides are starting to hurt.

You are set on your feet behind a large bookshelf. Rupert turns you to face him and smiles down on you. His glasses are off. His jacket and tie are missing. His shirtsleeves are rolled up and three of his buttons are undone. "You're no fun," he pouts.

"Oh I'm not?" You kiss him absolutely breathless.

When you pull away, he is wearing a silly looking grin. "All right, so you're a little fun."

"Um are you feeling okay?" You put the back of your hand to his forehead to feel for a temperature. He takes your hand away and begins to kiss it, and then nibble at it. "You haven't been eating anything chocolatey?"

"Certainly not." He sighs. "Am I so boring that I can't be a little silly every once in a while without a spell of some kind being involved?"

"Well no, not...not boring, just very very serious. Very Mature."

"Ow." He clutches at his chest and then moves away from you a few steps. "That's a terrible thing to say to a man."

"I'm sorry. Uh, do you promise that you didn't eat any chocolate?"

He holds up his hand as in solemn vow. "Not so much as a chip."

"Then be silly for me."

He moves forward, slowly, stalking, an evil smile playing on his lips. The last few steps he takes in a rush and grabs you around your waist, his nose touching the end of yours. "Hi," he whispers.

"Hi," you try to keep the shiver out of your voice. This is a Rupert you're not used to. You can hear your heart beating wildly. You wonder if he can too.

He moves his hands to the buttons of your shirt, keeping his lips just inches from your own. "You know I don't have to be silly." He begins to unbutton your shirt.

"N-no?"

He shakes his head as he removes your blouse completely and tucks it in his pants' pocket. "No. I can settle for unpredictable. If that's all right with you?"

"Are you going to kiss me or not?" You know you sound breathless. You are beyond caring.

"Now if I told you, I wouldn't be very unpredictable would I?"

Your hands come into his hair and you pull him to you, kissing him hard. His lips smile beneath yours as he brings his hands to your shoulders and begins to slide your bra straps down.

"Giles!" You hear Buffy's voice call from the library below.

Your rather unladylike curse is muffled by your kiss. You break apart and pout up at him. "That girl has the worst timing." He smiles and kisses your forehead. You slide your straps back up. "Gimme my shirt back." He smiles and backs up, shaking his head. "Rupert!" You are whispering as loud as you can without being heard.

"Hey Giles you in here?"

"Oh God! She brought Xander with her! Give me the damn shirt!"

He holds it above your head, obviously enjoying watching you jump for it in your bra. Without warning, he sweeps forward, his embrace pinning your arms up against his chest. He kisses you thoroughly. Just as you are allowing yourself to enjoy it, you hear something that makes you pull away.

"I think I heard something in the stacks. Giles, you up there?"

"Rupert please give me my top back!"

"Nope."

"Fine." You grab his lapels and pull them apart, hard. His shirt rips open, buttons spraying the bookshelves. You love the momentary shock in Rupert's eyes as you both hear the approaching footsteps climb the stairs.

Rupert surprises you yet again by slinging you over his shoulder and carrying you deep into the stacks. He moves something you can't quite see aside and ducks down. You are instantly cooler and it is suddenly much darker. He places you on your feet and then moves to once more conceal the entrance.

You wrap your arms around your waist and look around. It is dim with bare cement walls. There is a burgundy air mattress blown up in the corner with several large fluffy pillows surrounding it. Next to that on a low crate is a lamp with a few books around it. "Where are we?"

You are warmed by the feel of Rupert's bare chest as he stands behind you, wrapping his arms around your middle. "It's a disused and forgotten cellar. The opening revealed itself a while ago during an earthquake. I've kept it fairly well secret. It's where I come when I don't want anyone to be able to find me."

"Then why are you showing me?"

"You mean aside from not wanting to flash Xander and Buffy?" You smile. "Because, you're the one person I always want to find me."

"Even more than Buffy?"

"There are moments...such as now." You exchange smiles and he takes your hand, leading you determinedly toward the mattress.

"What are you doing?"

"We were interrupted remember?" He takes you in his arms and turns you until the back of your ankles touch the edge of the mattress. He kisses you briefly and then brings his hand up to your forehead. He gives a light shove and you topple back down on the soft pile of pillows. Rupert's eyes follow you and he dramatically whips off the remnants of his shirt. He starts to unbuckle his belt with equal flair.

You cover your mouth as you giggle. "Rupert, you are so silly!"

He drops to his knees at your side. "And unpredictable." He leans forward over you...
