Karen Jephson wrote a multipart VR.5 fic called "Sacrifices" in 1998 and posted it to the BBETA and GASP mailing lists. The story picked up right where the VR.5 episode "Reunion" left off. Due to a computer crash in 1999, she lost her complete copy of this fic. Over the years, kind fans who had saved the story sent her copies of a few parts but she has never been able to recover the full fic.
