AND STARRING PONCHO VILLA AS HIMSELF- (2003 as William Benton) Made for the American cable channel HBO. Movie with ASH acting alongside the likes of Antonio Banderas and Jim Broadbent. Find It Here
REVERSALS- (2003 as Mr. Andrew Barton) Made for the Britain's ITV. Upcoming movie.
BEST ACTRESS- (2000 as Colin Tromans) Made for the American cable channel E! Entertainment Television. Colin is a British director of films based on the works of Shakespeare. He decides to leave his cold British wife (Rachel Hunter) who has just become an Oscar nominee for Best Actress for another nominee (Jamie Pressly) who has slept her way to the top. All I can say is WOW. Cute movie. Must-see ASHyness!
CLICK- (2005 as Ned)
DEVIL'S HILL- (Bef. 1992, as Michael Toyle [directed by Mike Hodges]) I *think* this was made in Italy.
FAT SLAGS- (2004 as Victor)
I'LL BE THERE- (2004 as Sam Gervasi) Movie starring Charlote Church and Craig Ferguson. Tony plays a manager. Find It Here
LADY CHATTERLY'S LOVER- (1981, as Anton [directed by Mike Hodges]) Don't blink or you'll miss him. He's only in two scenes: the foxhunt and the ball, both at the beginning of the film. He plays Anton. Pluses: seeing ASH in a tux and the traditional Brit equestrian attire and that German accent "Ich Liebe Dich".
PRAYER FOR THE DYING- (1987, as Rupert [directed by Mike Hodges]) He plays Rupert. Again he isn't in this nearly enough but he has way more screen time here than in LCL, and this is QUALITY time. Let's just say that here he gets far more "exposure". :) Find It Here
REVERSALS- (2003 as Mr. Andrew Barton, UK TV Movie)
ROYCE- (1994, as Norman Pitlock [Also stars Jim Belushi and Miguel Ferrer]) Made for cable action flick but at least ASH is here the whole way through. He plays Norm Pitlock. He's a psychopath and that is fun to watch. Especially the smile when he walks away from the big boom! Yowza! Find It Here
ACCIDENT
BERGERAC- (1981 episode "See You In Moscow" as Bill) Uh oh,
did you blink?
Well, that was him that you missed then. Young and lovely
in it though.
BOON- (1987 episode "Day of the Yokel" as Richard Rathbone)
C.A.T.S. EYES (1985 episode "Goodbye Jenny Wren" as James Sinden)
COMIC STRIP PRESENTS- (1982 episode "SLAGS" as Ricki) I actually had this just hanging around in my tape collection. Tony plays Ricki, leader of the Hawaiians, a gang who
just "wants things to be nice". He has an American accent
and wears Ray Bans. It's really quite a kick to see him in
a purely comedic role. (this also features Emma Thompson
(yes THAT Emma Thompson) and for you Young Ones fans it
features Ade Edmondson (Vyv) and Nigel Planner (Neil)).
COMIC STRIP PRESENTS- (1988 episode "More Bad News" as
Recording Studio Engineer) One line role, very short part,
but catch it if you can my goodness, Yummy! :)
CROWN COURT
THE DETECTIVES- (1989 episode "Acting Constables" as Simon)
Simon is an actor playing a detective on a tv series and
planning the death of his lover's husband. Silly show but
thoroughly watchable and Tony is very SQUIDGE!
EDEN END
ENEMY AT THE DOOR- (1978 as Clive Martell)
GHOSTBUSTERS OF EAST FINCHLEY- (1995 episode 1.5 as Terry)
THE GRUDGE FIGHT- (1981 as Chief Hook)
HARD CASES- (1988/9)
HOWARD'S WAY (1985 as Phil Norton) From what little I've heard, he was a recurring character on this series for a few episodes at least.
JONATHAN CREEK- (1997 episode "The Wrestler's Tomb" as Adam
Klaus) Rrrrowwrr =). Adam Klaus is a kinky illusionist with
a penchant for women, whips and leather. Yes, he's American
again. This is a really fun part to see ASH in and when you
realize that this role was during the same year as him
playing Giles it just gives you even more appreciation of
Tony's range. Find It Here (UK Only)
LITTLE BRITAIN- (2003 as Prime Minister)
LES GIRLS- (1988/9)
LILLIE- (1978 mini-series as William LeBreton) In this he's
got brown Oscar Wilde-style hair, a posh accent, and he's
REALLY young. This is ASH at my age. Still a brief part but
well worth the effort to see.
LITTLE BRITAIN- (2003-? as The Prime Minister)
LOVE IN A COLD CLIMATE- (1980 mini series as Tony Kroesig)
THE MALLENS- (1979/80 as Weir)
MANCHILD- (2002-2003 series regular as James) James is a womanizing cosmetic dentist in his late 40's with all the toys and money he could want, and with an ex-wife and impotency problems he just as soon not have. This is a very sexy, fun, and unexpectedly sweet character. Find It Here (UK Only)
MONARCH OF THE GLEN- (2004 as Chester Grant)
MY FAMILY- (2003 episode "May the Best Man Win" as Richard Harper)
NEW TRICKS- (2004 episode 1.2 as Sir Tim)
PULASKI- (1987 episode "The Price of Fame" as Dudley Fielding)
ROCKLIFFE'S BABIES- (1987/8 as Chris Patterson)
ROGER, ROGER- (as Jimmy Price) Tony with long blonde hair
singing hard rock in Quiet Riot hand-me-downs and then with
shorter very blonde hair. It's a boring show but well worth
the wait for the Tony bits (especially with a ff
button).
SECRET ARMY- (1979 episode "A Safe Place" as Hanslick) Tony plays a
Nazi soldier.
SILENT WITNESS- (2001 episode "Two Below Zero" as Henry Hutton) Tony's character is a letch with a tendency to get underage girls drunk, the better to seduce them. Very different part for him.
SPOOKS- (2002 episode "Traitor's Gate" as Peter Salter) Legendary secret agent Peter Salter has been engaging in a liason with a woman from an anarchist political group. This series is called "MI-5" instead of "Spooks" in the US. Find It Here
THE TRIAL OF LORD LUCIAN- (1994)
TRUE HORROR- (2004 hosting as himself)
WOOF- (1992? as B.J. Bentley) Apparently, Tony was a man who could
transform
into a black lab dog. Yeah, I know. I gotta see this for
myself too =).
GOLD BLEND COFFEE ADVERTS- Tony and Sharon Maughan in
the British version of the Taster's Choice. There is a
video tape available where they have compiled all but the
final installment.
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER- (1997-2001 (series regular), 2001-2003 (recurring role) as
Rupert Giles) GO TO Buffy Page. Find It Here
FILLMORE- (2002 episode as Professor Third)
HIGHLANDER- (1992 episode "Nowhere To Run" as Allan
Rothwood) He's American again. He plays a diplomat whose
son raped an immortal's stepdaughter. Find It Here
NYPD BLUE- (1993 episode "Cold Heaters" as Raleigh Gibson)
Raleigh Gibson is a snobby Broadway star with possible
homicidal tendencies, but OH is he easy on the eyes =).
[Note: every source on this lists his character as Nigel
Gibson, but I've seen this and they call him Raleigh Gibson
so that's how it's listed here.]
TWO GUYS, A GIRL, AND A PIZZA PLACE- (1999 episode as Dr. Sturetsky) Dr. Sturetsky is a College Anatomy Professor who thinks of himself as the very example of the perfect body, and therefore engages in nude self-portraiture. Yes, it's Tony portraying a Tony fan! *grin* He drops his robe and if it were not for an ill-placed vase of flowers, it would be the Full Tony. Even with his clothes on, this part was a kick. He seemed to be doing a Shatneresque patter on top of an American accent. Nothing to say here but Oh Baby! and fun fun fun!
VR.5- (1995 series regular as Oliver Sampson) VR.5 page down for remodeling. Will return soon. Find It Here
And of course we can't forget:
TASTER'S CHOICE COUPLE COMMERCIALS- (1990- ?) He played
Michael, the dashing next-door neighbor who always had
something hot waiting for his girlfriend (I'm talking about
coffee, people. Sheesh, gutter-gutter-gutter :)
Interviews, Video Tapes and Non-Character Appearances

HORSETAILS- (2004 UK)
KTLA- (Jan. 1998 USA) Tony appeared to promote the WB's moving
of BtVS to Tuesday nights. Cute interview.
KTLA- (Oct. 1998 USA) He is briefly interviewed and sings the song "Are We Not Lovers" from his musical D'Ark
Secrets (it may be my imagination, but I think it was a cleaned up version (ie. not as steamy) for morning show consumption).
KTLA- (Oct. 1999 USA) On set tour on the day of BtVS episode: "Fear Itself". Features interview with SMG, ASH monkeying about with Aly and Nicky, and ASH's girls dancing for the camera and their very proud papa.
LEEZA- (1995? USA) Tony again appeared in a discussion of "Our
Favorite Commercials" for the TC ads and was treated to a
surprise visit by Sharon Maughan.
LIVE WITH REGIS AND KATHIE LEE- (1998 USA) Well, Tony was
gorgeous and so much fun but OY! there are not words to
describe how much of a rude Bitca was Kathie Lee. Of note
here though, KL did mention that this was a return visit
from Tony (poor guy). Whether the first appearance was in
regard to Buffy, VR5, or the TC ads I do not know...yet.
LOOSE LIPS- (June 2003 UK)
9TH ANNUAL SOAP OPERA AWARDS- (199? USA) Tony and Sharon appear
in a series of skits as their TC personas. Who knew gut
wrenchingly bad puns could look this damn good =). Big
plus, Tony looking gorgeous as always with the romantic
background of a fireplace. Squidge ;)
OPRAH WINFREY SHOW- (1995? USA) Tony appeared with his TC
commercials co-star Sharon Maughan on a show about
stars of favorite commercials, also appearing were Fabio
and the Snapple lady. He doesn't get to talk much but its
worth the watch for his expressions.
POLITICALLY INCORRECT- (March 2000 USA) Discussion topic was the film "The Cider House Rules" and the issues it brings up. He got to talk quite a bit in this (if you've ever seen the show, no small victory) and proved himself logical and competent, even when faced with a particularly annoying activist.
RHS CON TAPE- Interview ASH shot for the April 1998 NYC RHS
Convention when he had to cancel. Features clips from some
of his TV shows.
RICHARD AND JUDY (June 2003 UK)
ROCKY HORROR 25TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL: CELEBRITY KARAOKE- (October 2000 USA) ASH, in make-up, teddy, garterbelt, thigh-highs and high heeled boots (mercy mercy mercy!) sang the Frank-N-Furter song "Planet Schmanet (Wise Up Janet Weiss)" and also participated in the "Time Warp" finale on this VH1 special. Of note to Buffy fans, Amber Benson (Tara) also performed the Janet song "Toucha Touch Me" clad in bra and torn slip. A simply no holds barred must see (But remember to fast forward through some of the other more tone deaf participants)!
SCI-FI BUZZ- (1998 USA) Tony takes the host on a tour of the
Buffy set during the filming of "Bad Eggs". Features a
brief clip of ASH and Nicky Brendon joking around together.
Love this interview. Really shows how lively and personable
Tony is in an interview setting =).

TAKE A CHANCE WITH THE STARS '97- (1997 USA)There is videotaped
footage of Tony singing "Anthem" and "Every Breath You
Take".
TAKE A CHANCE WITH THE STARS '98- (1998 USA) There are at least 4
videotapes of this event that I know to exist. Tony sings
7 songs: "I Can't Stand the Rain", "Every Breath You Take",
Have a Little Faith In Me", "Sweet Transvestite", "Anthem",
"Are We Not Lovers" (not "Army Night Lovers" as some people have been passing the song around as, sheesh.) and "Going Home".

ANATOL IN LOVE
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS- I have heard the two singles
"In the Depth of Night" and "Girl In My Arms", and as Tony
said, the style is a bit old-fashioned but, oh man. These
two songs alone have converted nice normal folks into
GASPers.
CONFIDENTIAL CLERK
CHESS- (1987-98 as Freddie Trumper "The American") I have
listened to the bootleg of ASH in Chess. His American
accent for speaking is...well...a bit off honestly. But
his singing is worth it, and the overall show was good.
DANTON'S DEATH- (1982)
GODSPELL- (1981 as Prodigal
Son's Narrator)
THE HEIRESS- (1992)
HENRY V
JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT
JULIUS CAESAR
LADY WINDERMERE'S FAN- (1990)
MASKE
OTHERWISE ENGAGED
A PATRIOT FOR ME
PRINCE OF HOMBURG- (1982)
THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW- (1991 and again sometime between 93
and 97, as Dr. Frank-N-Furter) I have listened to the
bootleg of ASH's Frank performance, as well as heard the
Sweet Transvestite singles he made. What can I say? It's
ASH as Frank. I expected it to be good, and it was even
better than that. :)
ROPE- (1993-94 as Rupert) ASH was in this play with future Buffy co-star Alexis Dennisof.
ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDERNSTERN ARE DEAD
SEE HOW THEY RUN
TEETH AND SMILES
YONADAB (1985 as Absalom) Tony described this part as "a
shining virgin". Partrick Stewart played his Dad.
