PILOT: Computer hacker Sydney Bloom (Lori Singer) discovers she can pull people into VR.5, a simulated reality in her computer that the other person remembers only as a dream. Her childhood friend Duncan (Michael Easton) watches out for her. She goes to Dr. Frank Morgan (Will Patton) who recruits her for The Committee.
DR. STRANGECHILD: Syd's first assignment from The Committee is to find the location of a teen genius who fled a top secret compound after making an important discovery.
SISTERS: Syd probes the mind of a bank employee who she discovers is stealing.
LOVE AND DEATH: Syd is assigned to "VR" a Committee employee named Jackson Booth whom she discovers is an assassin.
5D: After Morgan's death, Syd vows never to go back into VR only to be coerced back by The Committee's new contact Oliver Sampson (Anthony Stewart Head).
ESCAPE: Syd appears to Duncan in dreams asking him to free her. He goes charging to the rescue assuming that Oliver is the bad guy but all is not how it seems.
FACING THE FIRE: Syd's assigned to go undercover in a psychiatric hospital to help a pilot who's having a breakdown.
SIMON'S CHOICE: The Committee assigns Syd to "VR" a condemned traitor to discover the reasons for his betrayal.
SEND ME AN ANGEL: Syd returns to the Bloom family home and explores memories from her past.
CONTROL FREAK: A man holds an airport control tower hostage, Syd is assigned to probe him and discovers The Committee once tried to have Oliver killed.
THE MANY FACES OF ALEX: When Syd is assigned to a "bilnd contact" it turns out to be Oliver's former lover (Markie Post).
PARALLEL LIVES: Duncan awakens in a whole new world where Samantha has taken Syd's place and everything familiar has unexpected twists.
REUNION: The Committee orders Oilver to kill Syd. Instead, he attempts to flee with her and Duncan but things don't go according to plan.
VR.5 shows every once in awhile on the Sci-Fi cable channel in the USA. It is also available on VHS from Rhino Home Video which you should be able to locate on both Amazon and the Rhino homepage. If you are an avid DVD collector like myself, please take the time to explore the Rhino site and politely bug the Rhino people for a DVD release for the series.
