Boy did I come into this fandom late :-) I went and saw this movie when it was in the theaters. And I did love it. Then awhile back, my brother let me indefinately borrow his VHS copy of it because he had access to a DVD copy. And it sat there, on the shelf. So then Pirates of the Caribbean came out and I got all into it, and well I can't afford to go to the theater all the time. And yes, alright, dammit I admit it. I'm getting an 'ittle bit of a Johnny Depp thing. Bu-but only in historical movies... like From Hell, Pirates and Sleepy Hollow (oh and okay Ed Wood, but that takes place before I was born so it's historical! Phbttt!). So, I pulled the tape off the shelf and watched it. Then I watched it again a couple days later. Then I got on the net and the Pirates ficcers are just NOT producing Jack Sparrow fic fast enough. So I started looking for Sleepy Hollow Ichabod/Katrina fic. And I've only found a very few of them, unfortunately. But, they've been really good! So now, I think instead of a Pirates substitute, I'm actually enjoying this fandom on it's own merits. Damn me.

Plus, there's just something about a man that faints frequently, but still manages to face off against a headless horseman that's just sort of adorable :-)
